Free ScriptSync License with Avid Editing Software Upgrades
ScriptSync is now a software option for Media Composer 5, Symphony 5, and NewsCutter 9, and requires you to purchase a license to activate it. If you’re upgrading from a release prior to these latest versions, you’re entitled to a free, one-time serial number that will license ScriptSync on your system.
Please note that this license will only work with the software versions above, and any major new upgrades of these products in the future will require that you purchase a new ScriptSync license if you wish to continue using it. If you’re a new user or adding a new seat, you will need to purchase a ScriptSync license to use it.

Get Your Free ScriptSync License
If you’re upgrading from any previous version of Media Composer, Symphony, or NewsCutter—whether you purchase an upgrade or get one through a valid Support Contract—please enter the required information below to get your free ScriptSync license. After confirming your eligibility, you’ll be presented with a serial number. To activate ScriptSync, have your serial number handy and launch ScriptSync within your editing application. Then follow the onscreen instructions to activate your license.
Please Note: You will need a unique serial number for each ScriptSync license you wish to activate. For example, if you wish to activate ScriptSync on five systems, you will need to enter in the required information for each of your five systems to receive five unique ScriptSync serial numbers.
